CANDIDATE BEST PLAYERS FIFA 2011

List of nominees receiving the title of FIFA Player of the Year 2011 has been announced about two months ago. The retainer Barcelona delivering a successful club into the Champions League last season's champions dominated the nomination list by sending seven names.

The most favored name of course is the boy wonder once the Catalan club's top scorer, Lionel Messi. Messi not only the favorite among his teammates at Barcelona, but also from the overall nominations list.

But Barcelona's Dutch legend Johan Cruyff, stating that the prestigious title of this year should fall into the hands of Barcelona's Spanish midfielder Xavi Hernandez.

"Choosing the best players selected for taste, not because of his position. Messi is the best in its category and he did many wonderful things, he has won this award several times and this year again have the opportunity," said Cruyff

"But if Messi has won twice, Xavi deserves that title now," said Cruyff again.

Announcement of the FIFA Player of the Ballon d'Or 2011 will be held on January 9, 2012.
