Chealsea slaughter Buyern Munich in the Champions final

Chelsea recorded history in the Allianz Arena to become the new champion of the Champions League. Are the Blues win lucky? is it still worth Roberto Di Matteo preserved Roman Abramovich?

The story is almost similar in Barcelona semi-final when Chelsea get rid of re-occurring in the final round. Bayern Munich managed to dominate the match and Chelsea's attacking defense until finally winning by Thomas Mueller headed the 83rd minute.

Had equalized through Didier Drogba five minutes later, Chelsea is likely to fail again in the final after a penalty awarded Munich the 95th minute which failed to be executed Arjen Robben.

Chelsea fans again created panic when Juan Mata failed in the first penalty in the shootout. However, the Blues eventually became the winner after Petr Cech detained two penalties committed Munich Ivica Olic and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

"Never give up attitude we have done for years. We never give up until the end. We try and give this to the success of new players and our youth. Victory was very impressive. It is difficult to describe," Drogba said after the match .

Munich itself could only lament their failures. Mueller insists his team will be very difficult to accept failure in the second final in three years. Moreover Munich dominate the game.

"This is football, we've seen in the past. Not all of the best teams get a trophy at the end of the game. When you score goals in recent games and you see Chelsea holding the trophy, you can see a lot of things have happened. It's hard to find words -the word for it, "said Mueller told Sky Sports.

A series of record

Lots of record created after beating Chelsea in the final of Munich. One of them is Chelsea becoming the first team from London is able to win the Champions League. The Blues also became the second English team to win the FA Cup and Champions League in the same season after Manchester United in the season 1998/1999.

Chelsea keep the myth of a new champion when the final took place in the city of Munich. Three previous final in Munich, always produce a new champion in the Champions League: Nottingham Forest (1979), Olympique Marseille (1993) and Borussia Dortmund (1997).

For an individual record, of whom seized Roberto Di Matteo and Didier Drogba. Di Matteo is an Italian coach who won the first Champions League trophy with a foreign club.

Meanwhile, Didier Drogba became the third African player who scored a success in the Champions League final, after Rabah Madjer (FC Porto / Algeria) in the final of 1987, and Samuel Eto'o (Barcelona / Cameroon) in 2006 and 2009.

Chelsea lock

It is undeniable luck played a part in the success Chelsea beat Munich. Drogba scored with a header created by the 88th minute, created from the only corner that got Chelsea in the final game. While Munich had 21 corner and failed to produce results.

"Luck is in the Chelsea's why they deserve to win the Champions League. Even so, Bayern were the better team throughout the match," said Honorary President of Bayern Munich, Franz Beckenbauer.

However, there are a number of decisions made Di Matteo is very vital for the success of the Blues in the final game. One of them was his decision to play Ryan Bertrand on the left wing position. Di Matteo's decision lowers the player who plays left-back original that was pretty brave. This is especially Bertrand debut in the Champions League.

Di Matteo successful gambling. Bertrand Phlipp Lahm was able to make trouble on the right line of defense Munich and failed to help Robben. The impact of right serangkan Die Roten successfully muted and not too ekspolsif Robben game.

Juup Munich coach Heynckes also provide fresh air for Chelsea. Munich after a goal by Mueller, Heynckes would attract the German national team player and put Daniel van Buyten.

This makes the Munich midfield a bit fragile and more flexibility in the Chelsea attack. Moreover Mueller has more defense and attack instinct, in contrast to Mario Gomez who performed poorly throughout the game.

Future Di Matteo

After the match, Di Matteo was in talks with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. However, former West Bromwich Albion are reluctant to reveal what has been talking about.

The warm events of speculation about the future of Di Matteo. Understandably, the 41-year coach reportedly will remain expelled even managed to give Abramovich the Champions League.

Though the Champions League trophy is a trophy that is coveted since Abramovich taking over Chelsea in 2003. Abramovich did not hesitate to fire a coach who failed to pass the Champions League trophy, including Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti.

Once the fund £ 1 billion, equivalent Rp14, 6 billion spent Abramovich and 66 world class players to come to Stamford Bridge since 2003, Chelsea were finally champions.

"What was discussed with the boss (Abramovich) can not be published. He looked very pleased. To be sure, now I can afford a vacation in peace, this is a challenging three months. What will happen to me in the future, I will be happy. Whatever be the decision of the club, I will respect it, "said Di Matteo as reported by CBS Sports.

Di Matteo also has the support of 100 percent of the players. Two veteran players Chelsea, John Terry and Frank Lampard, hoping former West Bromwich Albion are maintained club.
