Olympique de Marseille will be without Andre Ayew for the first meeting of the group stage of UEFA Champions League against Olympiacos FC after the striker returned from their international commitments with a groin injury.
Ayew, who played his 50th game with Marseille in their 3-2 defeat against LOSC Lille Métropole, was injured in the match between Ghana and Swaziland on Friday and could not play the 1-0 defeat by Brazil in friendly to be held in London, a game in which his brother and partner in the OM, Jordan Ayew, made his international debut.
The 21 years is expected to be sidelined for the next 10 days, so it will not play in the meeting this weekend in Ligue 1 with Stade Rennais FC and the debut of Marseille in Group F UEFA Champions League against Olympiacos.
