Former Manchester City player dies
FORMER footballer Mancester City and England Mike Doyle died at the age of 64 years due to kidney failure, say club Manchester City on Tuesday (28 / 6).
Doyle became part of the team when it won the English League City in 1968, the FA Cup in 1969 and Cup Winners Cup and League Cup in 1970.
Doyle scored his first goal for City in 1970 when his team beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1. Doyle also brings City beat Newcastle United to win the League Cup trophy in 1976, the last title before the City holding the FA Cup last month.
Doyle became the third player in the City squad in the cap era in the age of nine months, after the coach Malcolm Allison and Neil Young, who scored the winning goal during the final City League Cup 1969.
Doyle sector operating in the middle and sometimes go down as a defender. Doyle has played 550 games with the City (1962-1978) and five times served as captain in England.
Having resigned from Manchester City in 1978, Doyle played for Stoke, Bolton Wanderers and Rochdale before retiring in 1984. Throughout his career Doyle has played 627 matches and scored 42 goals.
