BNewcastle and Arsenal each fined 30 thousand euros after being found guilty of failing to control their players during the Premier League at St. James Park on 13 August.
Newer Arsenal attacker, Gervinho, expelled in the second round after beating Newcastle midfielder Joey Barton. The quarrel between the two players came after Barton accused Gervinho diving to get penalties.
Another Arsenal player, Alex Song, also will get a three-match ban Barton for stepping foot in an incident that is not seen by referee Peter Walton.
However, FA did not act quite up there. Tuesday (23/08) local time the English Football Association gave a fine for the incident involving the two teams.
An FA statement read, "independent regulatory commission today to determine both Newcastle United and Arsenal have been guilty of failing to control their players."
"The charges relate to incidents during the Premier League match at St James Park on Saturday, August 13, 2011.
"Both clubs denied the allegations and requested a hearing. (But) In each case, the allegation is proved by the regulatory commission and the two clubs have been fined 30 thousand Euros."
