Happiness Thiago Silva at the club AC Milan

Thiago Silva appearances with Milan is pretty good and stable. The latest was when she performed beautifully when Milan face Barcelona in the Champions League last midweek. He also became the savior Milan from defeat by scoring in the last minute and thwart existing Barcelona victory in sight.

The Brazilian strongly rumored to be joining Barcelona last summer after rumors that Barcelona had made contact with Silva. However, Silva denied the news. He said Barcelona had no formal bid.

Agent Silva believes Barcelona are now increasingly interested in his client's, but he believes his clients still like to play with Milan.

"Barcelona had reportedly attracted to Silva and we are pleased that the Catalan club pay attention to our clients because Barcelona are the strongest team in the world," said Paulo Tonietto, Thiago Silva to Calciomercato agent.

"A thing is normal if the best clubs interested in the best players. He was happy with Milan and has just extended his contract until 2016," he said.

Nervous City will improve in Champions League

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has blamed "nerves" as his team drew 1-1 with Napoli in their Champions League debut on Wednesday night.

In an entertaining affair, Edinson Cavani opened the scoring in the second-half after being fed through on goal and slotted his effort underneath Joe Hart’s legs whilst holding off the City defence.

A stunning Aleksander Kolarov free-kick brought the teams level as the two sides fought out a draw that was a more than deserving result for either outfit, albeit with the hosts having more than their fair share of chances.

The Italian manager, who was watched by his father Aldo at the Etihad Stadium, hoped that his team can be better in the next match against Bayern Munich.

"We can do better in Munich. Bayern Munich are a fantastic team but we have a team that can win everywhere," Mancini was quoted as saying by The Daily Telegraph.

On the match against the Italian outfit, Mancini said: "We lost a stupid goal; a team like us cannot concede a goal like that. It was a first (game) for us and in the end I'm happy."

"Before the game we were so nervous. All the players wanted to win and, probably, all the players wanted to score. But it's important for us to play simple football," he added.

City are yet to face Villarreal and Bayern Munich in what has been called the 'group of death', but Mancini brushed off any worry that a point at home would see them struggle for the remainder of the stage.

The Italian quipped: "No, we’ll win in Munich next game."

Early campaign for the Champions League Manchester City

Manchester City begin their Champions League campaign as the debutants no one wants to face thanks to a dazzling start to their domestic season and a squad bursting with expensive talent.

Goals have flowed for City this season as easily as hundreds of millions of pounds have been spent and bookmakers have installed Roberto Mancini's men among the favourites for European glory before their Group A opener at home to Napoli on Wednesday.

The group's heavyweights, in terms of seedings in the draw, are Bayern Munich and Villarreal but the German club's winger Franck Ribery summed up the issue by holding his head in his hands when hearing that the world's richest club were in his group.

"I saw Ribery's reaction - and I think he is a clever man," Mancini told local media.

"We are in a difficult group - but so are Bayern Munich, Villarreal and Napoli. The group we are in is very strong. It is so strong that there is a chance we could finish top and a chance we could finish in fourth position."

Appearing in Europe's elite club competition for the first time since 1968, City could, in theory, just enjoy the experience - or, in the case of goalkeeper Joe Hart, the famous Champions League music played at the start of matches.

"I'll be humming along," Hart said on the club's website (www.mcfc.co.uk). "As a club, players and fans, we're looking forward to it. It's really exciting and we can't wait."

The reality is different as City owner Sheikh Mansour has pumped more than 600 million poundsinto building a squad of players experienced in Champions League soccer who have gelled into a relentless attacking force.

Spearheaded by Argentina forward Sergio Aguero, they have already scored 15 goals in four league games to set the early Premier League pace along with more decorated neighbours Manchester United as the only teams still with perfect records intact.

Aguero, who has scored six league goals including a hat-trick in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Wigan Athletic, has a personal interest in Wednesday's Italian visitors.

GREAT THINGS

Married to the daughter of Diego Maradona, Aguero will face the club his father-in-law helped to the 1987 and 1990 league titles, and while Maradona will not be at the game due to coaching commitments in Dubai he will provide inspiration.

"I hope I can help Manchester City do great things like Diego did with Napoli," local media quoted Aguero as saying.

Mancini has said the main aim is to progress from the group and with the likes of Aguero and fellow striker Edin Dzeko, who was left on the bench against Wigan despite scoring four goals in the previous game, the Italian has the tools for the job.

Serie A side Napoli are also making their first appearance in the Champions League group stage, with their last European Cup appearance 21 years ago, and are also in high spirits.

Defender Hugo Campagnaro, who survived a car crash in which three people died in his native Argentina in June, scored the decisive goal as Napoli won 3-1 at 10-man Cesena in their opening league match of the season on Saturday.

Influential Slovakia midfielder Marek Hamsik was on the bench at Cesena but came on to score the third goal and will start for the Naples side in Manchester.

"Hamsik is recovering from two matches with his national team. I preferred it this way so that he could be refreshed for the match in Manchester," coach Walter Mazzarri said.

"Now begins a Champions League adventure. I'm curious to see how the team will do against a big club like Manchester City. We've got into the European Cup after 20 years, we have a difficult group but also a fascinating one we want to play in. For us it is a source of pride to be there. Then we'll see."

Teams (probable):

Manchester City: 24-Joe Hart; 2-Micah Richards, 4-Vincent Kompany, 6-Joleon Lescott, 22-Gael Clichy; 18-Gareth Barry, 42-Yaya Toure, 19-Samir Nasri; 21-David Silva, 10-Edin Dzeko, 16-Sergio Aguero

Napoli: 1-Morgan De Sanctis; 14-Hugo Campagnaro, 28-Paolo Cannavaro, 6-Salvatore Aronica; 11-Christian Maggio, 88-Gokhan Inler, 20-Blerim Dzemaili, 8-Andrea Dossena; 22-Ezequiel Lavezzi, 17-Marek Hamsik; 7-Edinson Cavani

Arsenal vs Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal secured a 1-1 away point against German champions Borussia Dortmund in their first game of the Champions League group stages on Tuesday night, after Ivan Perisic's superb late volley cancelled out Robin van Persie's first-half effort.

Pat Rice stood in for the banned Arsene Wenger on the touchline, with the French boss once again forced to watch his side from the stands as they continued to ride their luck in Europe.

Wenger welcomed Alex Song and Gervinho back into the side in place of Emmanuel Frimpong and Andrey Arshavin respectively, following the duo's domestic bans, whilst Pers Mertesacker, Mikel Arteta and Yossi Benayoun all made their Champions League debuts for Arsenal.

Mario Goetze and Sebastian Kehl returned to the Dortmund starting XI, with both having missed their side's 2-1 home defeat to Hertha Berlin on Saturday through suspension, as Jurgen Klopp named an otherwise unchanged line-up.

Gervinho was presented with the first clear-cut opportunity of the game five minutes in, after the ball evaded the Dortmund backline and presented itself to the Ivorian six-yards out, who looked certain to score only for a superb last-ditch intervention from Mats Hummels.

The home side were quick on the counter-attack themselves, only for Kevin Grosskreutz to fail to take advantage of their man over and blast his effort over the bar, before Shinji Kagawa split the Arsenal centre-backs to latch on to a superb through-ball five minutes later, but was also unable to find the target.

The Arsenal defence continued to look suspect as Dortmund grew in confidence, this time Goetze cut through the middle before slotting Robert Lewandowski through on goal, and the Polish forward looked to have given his side the lead after rounding goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, only for Bacary Sagna to clear off the line.

Van Persie cut an isolated figure up top, with his side loose in possession compared to the creative passing of the opposition, and his frustration showed - the Dutch striker snapping at Benayoun's through-ball on the half-hour mark, as his early shot from the edge of the box crashed into the side netting.

Lewandowski again went close with a headed effort after 38 minutes for Dortmund, but it was Van Persie who would find the back of the net to give the visitors an unlikely half-time lead.

The Arsenal captain capitalised on a string of poor passes from the home team, intercepting Kehl's lazy crossfield ball and finishing superbly to beat Roman Weidenfeller from 20-yards out after 42 minutes, having sprang the offside trap to latch on to Walcott's through-pass.

Dortmund continued to dominate possession in the early stages of the second half, but clear-cut opportunities failed to materialise, with Goetze finding Marcel Schmelzer on the overlap, only for the left-back to blast aimlessly over the goal from an acute angle instead of crossing.

Barcelona vs Man Utd Preview :

The 2010-11 football season reaches a climax on Wednesday when Premier League champions, Manchester United, meet La Liga Champions, Barcelona, at Wembley Stadium inside a battle for the biggest prize in European club football.

Man Utd vs Barcelona have clashed just three times in the past, with each club claiming victory and something match ending inside a draw. United prevailed within their Champions League tie in 2008, before Barcelona defeated United 2-0 to win the 2008-2009 Champions League Final.

Barcelona coasted to its La Liga title over recent weeks, with three draws and two wins scored in five matches. The club ended the growing season on the high by defeating Malaga 3-1 in the final La Liga fixture.

Barcelona has scored 7 goals in its past five matches. The club’s defence continues to be solid if unspectacular, letting in 3 goals during the same period.

Man Utd looked much more comfortable since it put pay to some late title challenge by Chelsea to take the Premiership title with four wins and a single reduction in its last five matches.

United’s strikers happen to be scoring at a constant rate, with 9 goals set aside within the club’s past five matches, and 3 conceded within the same period of time.

Barcelona vs Madrid Preview :

Last El Clasico game held at Camp Nou when Real Madrid travel to Catalunya to face Barcelona in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final. Barca won the first leg 2-0 with questionable situations because Pepe has been sent-off on an ill-tempered match. Both Madrid and Barcelona are actually charged by UEFA following an unsavoury incidents at the Santiago Bernabeu while Jose Mourinho is going to be instructed to sit up in the stands after being given his marching orders on Wednesday night. In the midst of all of this chaos, Lionel Messi scored an excellent brace at hand Barca an enormous advantage going into the 2nd leg on Tuesday.

Real Madrid have overturned a first leg home loss only once in a European competition and worryingly, only two sides have ever overturned a 1st leg home reduction in the history of the Champions League. Barca on the other hand have won 30 of the 32 European ties by which they have won the 1st leg away from home. Barcelona vs Madrid Live Stream will be online on 3rd May 2011.
Barca were frustrated for a large the main 1st leg just as real chocked them with tight defending. But Barca didn't help themselves with some distasteful play-acing and hounding the referee on every possible occasion. The lack of Andres Iniesta along with a makeshift defence contributed for their lack of cutting-edge, but after they had the person advantage they forced Madrid into mistakes by pilling about the pressure. Messi then did the rest because he tore down Madrid's defence to take his tally for an incredible 52 goals within the season. El Clasico Live Stream is Free.

The blame game following the 1st leg defeat has seen everybody in the referee to Mourinho designated as the reason behind loss. But in fairness, Madrid might have no complaints concerning the result. Mourinho employed an ultra gloomy in the hope of taking a 0-0 lead to the Nou Camp in a week's time and contrary, Barca were the only real side that looked to play proper football. The Madridistas aren't accustomed to watching their side play within their means, and also to do it against Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu is responsible for a significant stir. The home side have been a revelation in the competition this season and have played some excellent football on the way. Ralf Rangnick’s side have beat Valencia and current holders Inter within the knockout stages so far and therefore are especially dangerous at home. Die Rothosen’s Bundesliga form has been secondary to their exploits in Europe, and also the side were suitably distracted within the league on Saturday, losing 1-0 in your own home to FC Koln. Germany international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer captains the side and it has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford, whilst veteran striker Raul has rolled back the years in the competition and scored some very important goals for the club.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s men are looking for a double, using the Premier League title firmly within their grasp following a 1-0 victory over Everton at home on Saturday. In Europe The Red Devils have moved past Olympique Marseille and Chelsea within the knockout stages and should be considered favorites for the tie from the German side. Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez got the winner against The Toffees at the weekend and has formed an effective partnership up-front with Wayne Rooney.

In the round of 16 Schalke 04 beat Valencia with agregate 4-2, playing draw 1-1 at Estadio Mestalla then win 3-1 on home. Within the quarter final they eliminate Inter Milan with agregate 7-3, win 5-2 at San Siro then win again at home 2-1.

In the round of 16 Man Utd beat Marseille with agregate 2-1, playing draw 0-0 at State Velodrome then win 2-1 on home. In the quarter final they eliminate Chelsea with agregate 3-1, win 1-0 at Stamford Bridge then win again at home 2-1.
