Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has warned his colleagues not to underestimate the power of Manchester City to get up and catch five points with United.
Paul Scholes has become one important courtier satuy United after he decided to back out of retirement in early January. United earned 31 points from 11 Premier League matches in which Scholes involved.
Difference of five points between United and City wide more likely if United can beat QPR and City lose or draw faces another tough team, Arsenal.
However, Scholes denied if such a scenario would go as smoothly as expected.
"Several months ago, we did not think could be on the top of the league," Scholes said on MUTV.
"What has made United is put yourself in a decent and hopefully win the league, but right now we are still far from expectations."
"There are still 21 points (seven games) to play for and we will fight a very good team like the City (at the end of April), there is no doubt about it. They had a fantastic season and they have a collection of great players and they are able to beat anybody. they will be able to score points and win many games and they have a chance to beat Arsenal at the Emirates. "
Scholes says his team is only focused on the concentration of counter-QPR game on Sunday (8/4) tomorrow.
"There was a time when we think about the City, when we were two or three points behind them, and we hope they will be defeated," said Scholes.
"But now we are leading the five points and we just concentrate on ourselves. If United can do that, hopefully we'll be fine."
United need a victory in the party's three away games away from equaling the record Chelsea (48 points) when he became Premier League champions in 2004-05.
