Roberto Mancini has expressed confidence Manchester City will qualify for the Champions League knockout phase, although the first two games did not convince his team performed.
City could only draw 1-1 against Napoli in the first matchday before bendable Bayern Munich 2-0 at the Allianz Arena.
With that result, Citizen now ranked third Champions League group A with only pocketed one point, five points behind Bayern.
Although lagging far enough, Mancini is optimistic his team a chance to escape wide open.
"I was able to assess the nine numbers we get," he said told Il Domani dello Sport.
"We've played two games and four games remaining. I believe we can still qualify."
Mancini also assess opportunities to pitch his team is much greater than Villarreal, which until now still has not won a single digit.
"Villarreal kept losing, they were almost out," he explained.
