Monday, 10/03/2011 Barcelona's Dutch striker yesterday, Ibrahim Afellay has successfully conducted a series of operations to cure a knee ligament injury in misery. Thankful that the operation runs smoothly.

As quoted from the official FIFA website, the operations performed at the Hospital Quiron Barcelona, Monday, 03.10.2011 afternoon local time has been completed and running smoothly. Post-surgery, Ibrahim Afellay still must undergo a series of expected recovery process takes up to six months.

Until now the players are still not allowed to go home by Dr. Cugat and Dr. Pruna who handles the player's operation. Afellay remains to be settled in the hospital at least 3 to 4 days.

Afellay was expected to be absent defending Barcelona and the Dutch national team. Barcelona camp will soon launch his word on the length Afellay will miss.

After leaving the hospital, a series of rehabilitation for the injury Afellay will be done. Dutch national coach last week said it was hoped Afellay could quickly recover and find a fit condition to the European Cup in 2012.

As we all know injuries hit this former PSV player when he joined Barcelona's training session with the squad last week. Then, based on inspection, turns out his left knee confirmed the anterior ligament tear. As a result, road operation should be performed.
