Manchester United without Ferdinand

Manchester United (MU), Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic to injury in the Premier League match against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday (14/08/2011).

Ferdinand and Vidic appeared as a starter in the duel was won by Manchester United 2-1. Due to injury, replaced by Jonny Evans Vidic in the 52nd minute and Ferdinand was replaced Phil Jones in the 76th minute.

According to Goal, Ferdinand suffered a thigh injury and will be sidelined for six weeks. As for Vidic is said to be a groin problem and will be sidelined for several weeks.
If so, then both players likely will not take part in Premier League matches against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on 22 and 28 August.

Earlier, Manchester United have also lost defender Rafael. He will be sidelined for ten weeks to undergo a shoulder injury recovery, obtained in the practice session on Thursday (08/11/2011).
