Italy midfielder Alberto Aquilani, very proud to join defending champion AC Milan in the transfer market this summer after brought in from Liverpool on loan for a season full and permanent option at the end of the season.
Players who had undergone the same status at Juventus last season was flying to Italy today and immediately underwent medical tests at Milan's training center in Milanello.
"Liverpool FC have reached this agreement, with respect to medical tests that will be undertaken by Alberto Aquilani to move to AC Milan on loan for one season," the Liverpool club statement.
"This agreement also gives priority to Milan to convert the loan into a permanent status."
Aquilani is believed the purchase option at the end of the season to six million euros by Milan.
"I want to give this confidence to Alberto after holding discussions with him," said the Liverpool club's director, Damien Comolli.
"Based on the overall process, he just wants to continue playing in the main squad and consideration for him was to leave Liverpool is certainly more advantageous to perform at the Italian national team squad."
