Newcastle have announced that they officially get the Inter Milan defender, Davide Santon, with an undisclosed value.
Italy full-back 20-year-old signed a five-year contract duration. Davide Santon is projected to fill the place of Jose Enrique released to Liverpool. Newcastle coach, Alan Pardew believes that Davide Santon will be one of the smartest purchases ever made his club.
Pardew told Newcastle's official website, "We are very excited to be bringing to Davide to Newcastle.
"He is a qualified international left back who could play in the flexible line of defense."
"Davide is young and is a good purchase for the club and I am sure he will adapt in no time with the English Premier League," Pardew said optimistically.
Santon myself feel happy to be joining Newcastle. He also called the atmosphere at the Stadium St. James' Park, making it unable to reject Newcastle bid.
"I am very pleased to be signing a contract with Newcastle. The opportunity to play in the Premier League and in front of 50,000 fans at St. James Park (Newcastle home stadium) is too good to turn down," said Santon.
"This club is an ambitious club who want to progress and I want to help them achieve that."
